

Nurul Syahidah Mazlan holds a BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying from the University of Reading Malaysia and an MSc in Information Management for Design, Construction and Operation from the University of Reading, UK. Her academic background has provided her with a solid foundation in both traditional quantity surveying practices and modern digital construction technologies.
Currently, Syahidah is pursuing a PhD in Built Environment at the University of Reading Malaysia, where her research focuses on the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in sustainable construction practices. Her doctoral work aims to bridge the gap between emerging digital technologies and practical implementation in the construction industry.
Since 2019, she has gained significant experience as a consultant quantity surveyor, working on a diverse range of projects including residential, commercial, and infrastructure developments. This industry experience has enriched her teaching approach, allowing her to bring real-world perspectives into the classroom.
Syahidah is a registered Provisional Quantity Surveyor with the Board of Quantity Surveyors Malaysia (BQSM) and a Graduate Member of the Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (RISM). These professional affiliations reflect her commitment to maintaining high standards in quantity surveying practice and education.
